3/14/2005 Well, the drywall is done, except for sanding and topcoat. The vanity is gone and the sink is on "temporary" legs. Next is the floor. I opened up a section, and it is definitely the nightmare I expected it to be! Sections of the 90 year-old original floor had been cut away, and at some point overlayed with 1 inch thick m.d.f. (medium density fiberboard)-not the best material for a floor that used to get flooded daily by daycare kids. It just crumbles when you touch it. It's going to be another can-of-worms project...at least it will keep me off the streets... On other matters, I am saddened by the violence that is going on in Wisconsin, Georgia, even here in Colorado...and so happy to here what (so far) is good news in Lebanon. I hope there is not another shoe that's going to drop over there, because you can probably count on thier being a big, evil, tyrant foot in it if it does. I'm sure President Bush will have something to say about that if it happens. They are in my prayers, for peace and freedom... posted by David | 3/14/2005 05:45:00 AM
