Because of my health issues, I sometimes have a hard time stringing a couple of good days together...I might whine (alot ?) but when I read things like this http://reuters.iwon.com/article/20050318/2005-03-18T130816Z_01_N18600190_RTRIDST_0_ODD-BRITAIN-SCOOTER-DC.html it's a lot easier to have an attitude of gratitude...
Today I drive my 20 year-old daughter, Katie, to the Denver airport so she can fly to Brazil to meet up with her hubby, David. I am so excited for her ! I think this will be her first BIG adventure as an adult. But, as a parent, I have my worries. Planes falling out of the sky... etc...
I wish her all the best and pray for her safe arrival. I was tickled that her husband instructed her to, instead of running to him first, go to his mother, greet her, then his grandmother, hug her, greet her, before imbracing him... I love that-that there are still cultures that respect and revere thier elders...of course that is only because I would be -and am daily by my children-considered an...elder (read: old fart) ..probably, sometimes, my only tenet and source of respect is my love and knowledge of music, of which all of my children have been drawn to, to one degree or another...thank you, Lord, for small blessings...
