4/14/2002   ..I am a little pissed off right now... Our second daughter was supposed to drive over to a friends house, get ready, and go to The Prom last night..instead she took our car, drove over mountain passes (some of them 13,000 ft.!!!) and drove 2hrs. to Boulder to meet her "boyfriend" (read DEAD friend) whom, by the way, she met in chat on the Internet...! She says she wants her freedom...her mom just wants her back home...(restricted for LIFE.!!!) I say let her stay out there for awhile..let her experience freedom, and all that goes with it...(a bed of roses-thorns and all !!!) If she is forced back home will she not regret it and hold it against us...let her make the choice..when she figures out that she doesn't have a plan and doesn't have a clue...Tom Petty hit it on the head...Rebel without a clue...I just wonder..what were my parents thinking at times like these...did they try to see things through my eyes...Am I trying hard enough to do that.. ..When I look in the mirror I still see a little kid..(some times younger than others..!) but when my kids (I have five) look at me the see a....50 yr.-old man !!!!
