4/13/2002   ..my head feels like Pooh's...I consciously force myself to think..occasionally hitting myself in the forehead.. Well, I think today will be the day...It comes every year...a strange anomaly...There is a time every spring when the days AND nights warm up enough that it rains instead of snowing, and it rains a GOOD rain.. well the soil around our house literally OPENS up...!!!...earthworms by the thousands come to the surface and get there first good breath of spring air !!! I built a wormbed out back by the garden..(for compost, too..) and my kids can sell them to fishermen coming through..One year my son, Evan, sold enough worms and firewood ( I would cut up scrap at work and bundle it up for him) to pay for our family's weekend vacation at a "waterworld" in Denver..pretty good...!! I think Ian and Halley would make good lemonade-and-worm hustlers...!!!
